Rental Agreement and Policies

RENTAL AGREEMENT/POLICIES (Rental agreement to be signed upon check-in)-

1) We have available for general use: 2 public restrooms with showers (located at the side of the main building), 1 communal fire pit for all campsites and limited Solo Stoves for rental, 1 microwave (during open hours), 1 outdoor kitchen (sink, propane BBQ grill, and 4-burner gas cook top stove). The water supply is via sink in the outdoor kitchen on the orchard side of the main building. Our well is approved for public use; we encourage you to bring empty containers and take some of our pristine, mountain fresh drinking water with you.

2) Most guests tend to come with coolers and food as if for camping. Some even go to the restaurants in town for meals. A limited number of food coolers are available to check out from the reception desk. There is no food service at the ranch, only morning beverages currently offered.

3) Plan as if you were going to a campground, bringing all essentials. You will need everything you normally take including: tent (if staying in one) and sleeping bags/bedding, flashlight, cooking gear, food and coolers, toiletries and towel, folding chairs, bug spray.
The guest room, is furnished with memory foam bed and linens/pillows provided. Bring your bedding/pillows for use in the guest yurts. (optional Linen and pillow outfitting is available for the queen bed in the guest yurt for an additional fee.) (Option Towel packages for the showers are also available).
If you are renting the Roundhouse Yurt, plan on bringing air mattress/sleeping pads and bedding.

4) Plan for the season and stay warm.
a. Our guest yurt features an electric heater that keeps the small space comfortable during most winter conditions. Bring extra blankets.
b. Our larger Roundhouse yurt is too large a space to keep warm during the winter
season. Small parties renting the Roundhouse for overnight accommodations
should bring winter gear, extra blankets or an electric blanket, during Fall, Winter, and Spring seasons.

5) Well behaved dogs are allowed. They must remain on-leash and with owner always, when on the property. Pets are not allowed to be left alone in guest areas or tents. Please be advised that dogs and llamas/alpacas do not get along. At no time are guest dogs allowed in any pasture areas or near areas where the animals are present. All dog waste must be picked up (scoop and rake available) and added to the dog compost bins (not bagged, not thrown in trash). Owners are responsible for cleaning up after their dog and any damage caused by their pet. A pet cleaning/security deposit may be required upon check-in via a credit card.

6) Wear sturdy boots or shoes. This is a working ranch and rough land. We purposely do not subscribe to the look of the manicured lawn; this is an active mountain meadow ecology. Our trails and walkways will be ever evolving, be careful walking in any open spaces.

7) No guests allowed in pastures or barn areas without staff supervision. We are happy to give you an up close and personal experience with our herd upon request. Contact with animals may pose a health risk to both human and animal. Do not try to approach, catch, or touch chickens or other livestock. Wash hands with soap and water right after visiting animal areas.

8) We encourage the idea of communal camping. If there is no burn ban, we allow fires to be started in the communal fire pit open to all our guests. Please be courteous and respectful of all who share the space. Please be aware that other parties may be staying at the ranch during your stay unless arrangements were made for a private rental of our entire site. We advise bringing folding chairs to sit around the fire.

9) Keep your food stored in animal proof containers or secured in your vehicle at night. (There is currently no food service offered onsite, however, coffee/tea/cocoa available upon request.)

10) Store all valuables in your locked vehicle. Never leave anything of value in your tent or yurt. Declare all firearms upon check-in. Store any firearms, unloaded and locked in your vehicle while on property. Paca Pride assumes no liability for loss of property.

11) Bagging your Trash: We are a “Pack It In, Pack It Out” campground for unsorted trash. We practice a monitored trash program to control flies and vermin. We do not provide trash receptacles on the grounds. We encourage our guests to take their trash with them, or sort and bag it for disposal with the staff.
Onsite trash in the outdoor kitchen areea requires following these simple disposal practices:
a. Separate out all aluminum, metal, and paper for recycling.
b. Separate out and wash all glass and tin cans for recycling.
c. Compost all non-meat food scraps in the proper compost bin. (Dispose of food compost in the black compost bins located in the orchard area.)
d. Seal meat scraps into plastic bags and place in trash. Do not dispose of food waste in the brush or on the grounds as this will encourage wildlife.
e. Dispose of pet waste in our dog waste compost bin; rake and scooper available. Do not bag dog poop. Do not place any bagged dog poop in the trash.
f. Dispose of any baby diapers in bags available from staff. Do not place diapers in any trash cans.

If you smoke on the front main deck, you can request a butt can from the front desk. Never throw butts on the ground as they are a hazard to the chickens and grazing animals.
